“Now, preferably.” she replied smoothly, making a move to turn on her heel to guide the former Tercera in the proper direction. Ah, or was now an unsuitable time for her? She threw a questioning gaze over her shoulder towards the green-haired arrancar, though opted to say nothing.

Nel, immediately deciphering the woman’s expression, quickly adds to her previous statement, “Now is acceptable. I have no plans.” She does her best to smile reassuringly, internally scolding herself for sounding over prioritized.

She nodded, acknowledging the former Tercera’s words before continuing forward with Nel trailing behind her. The walk was a bit quiet, not that the Tres minded much, as she rather preferred a quiet setting whilst going about her business. Nelliel, too seemed to not be bothered by the silence between them, which was a bit of a surprise to Harribel. She’d always pegged the former Tercera as one who (not necessarily “thrived”, per se)…enjoyed a bit more liveliness than she.

After a bit of contemplation, Harribel decidedly broke the silence, throwing another gaze over her shoulder to her companion. “I’ve prepared rose tea; I thought it might suit you.”

She follows silently. The distance between the current Tercera’s quarters and her own was not unbearably long, but the walk itself was quiet; not that Nelliel payed any heed, instead choosing to gaze at the blanched walls. She was never one for small talk, and apparently neither was Harribel. The woman had always appeared austere in manner, but apart from the brief conversations they shared, Nel could not actually judge the superior’s personality. Perhaps Harribel has a similar mentality on their relationship, and this invitation was a way for both to familiarize themselves with the other.

{The idea certainly seems pleasant}

She smiles, raising her head, “I’ve never tasted that flavour before. It sounds delectable, thank you.”
