Fancy Dining~

kuchiki-byakuya:

Byakuya really did not know what came over him as he stole Neliel’s heart. He knew that they had been merely flirting for a while, but for him to take advantage of such an event…for the first time since Hisana…he was nervous over another woman.

And that scared him, just a little.

Not knowing really anything about formal dating, he decided that a small date in the human world would be best, a neutral land to spend some time in peace. After a bit of research, the captain found a very exquisite restaurant in Bologna, Italy; there the date would lie. It seemed formal enough, a fancy dinner, hopefully one that wouldn’t scare her away, but still good enough for the tastes of a nobleman and his date. After making reservations, he sent a small note to Nel that they would meet in the park around the restaurant in the country from garganta and senkaimon in gigai’s for a special treat.

So, dressing in human clothes once more, Byakuya wore a blood red silk dress shirt with black dress pants and a black dinner jacket, tailored perfectly. Again leaving the back kenseikan in his hair, he left for the human world a few minutes early as to be there for when his date arrived.

Though he wouldn’t admit it, he was slightly anxious about how everything would go, but he fought it off. The great Kuchiki Byakuya was not afraid of anything…or so he told himself.

Humanity’s need to ceremonialize specific dates never ceased to confuse Neliel, and most recently the concept of ‘Valentines Day’, while endearing, seems unusual and outlandish. Not that a lack of information would actually prevent her from participating in the ‘Valentines game’.

Her ‘heart’ —which in reality was a molded piece of chocolate— had been ‘stolen’ by Captain Byakuya Kuchiki. It would have been a lie for her to say that his claim was unexpected. It was only several weeks after their introduction to the other that they began what Rangiku called ‘flirting’, and After several months, their acquaintanceship developed into something that could vaguely be described as an unorthodox relationship.

Neliel opens the note as she steps out of the garganta, glancing over the elegant slant once more, if anything, to be sure she had traveled to the correct location. She peevishly tugs at the hem of her black silk dress.

While donning a gigai was never comfortable, Nel found it pointless in her case—despite the form hiding her mask and facial markings., the gigai’s hair remained the same shade of aqua as its owner’s, earning her strange looks regardless.

A faint sigh passes her lips as she advanced through the park, her heels clicking quietly against the cobblestones beneath her feet. Any feelings of anxiety or other apprehensions were removed from her thoughts, this was Bya-kun she was talking about, there was no reason to be nervous.

She spots her date as she reaches the clearing, sighing in relief and quickly making towards the fountain where he sat.

” There you are, Bya-kun, good evening!”
